My rating system for Bathroom 411 .com

I will rate public bathrooms on a scale of 1 to 10.  I think that will be fun.   I'm not going to make this very scientific.  It's my blog, so it's going to be very much how I feel on any given day.  That said, I will put some (not much) structure to how I will determine the rating.  Each rating will include all the components of the previous rate with some additional positives and  I'm sure I will always be able to suggest ways for the bathroom to be improved.

Let 's start with a rating of "1".   This is  a very basic.   There is  public restroom in the location.  Nothing more to say...  Well, I'm sure I"ll have a  lot to say and I'm sure I'll say it, but the nicest thing I'll be able to say is "there is a public restroom here".

Building on that ratings of "2" ... There is a public restroom, and I feel relatively safe using it.   Again, I'm sure beyond that I will have a lot to say and even suggestions on how the rating could be increase.

"1"+ "2" and you have the base for a "3".  In addition to that all the basic components of a restroom are present.   There is a toilet,  privacy, a sink, toilet paper, soap and something to dry my hands.

Let's move on,  a "4" will include all the above plus all of the components work and there is toilet.

"5"  ~  Here we go.  I'm thinking the majority of public restrooms will fall into a rating of 5!  To get a "5" all the above must be present... There is a restroom, I feel relatively safe using it, all the components of a public restroom are there, everything is working and toilet paper is present.   Additionally to earn the "5"  there is something else positive I can say about the bathroom!  It could be anything from it is conveniently located to it has nice smelling soap or the hand blowers work really well!   I'm sure I'll have suggestions for improvement.

6   ~  With "6" being above average, to get this rating the bathroom is going to have all of the above plus be relatively clean.  I'm not saying spotless, but somewhat clean.   When I see this, I'll be able to describe it.....

7   ~  Now we're starting to get to bathrooms that are enjoyable to use.  You know them...  They are accessible, everything I need is there,  it is clean, there are some nice touches and I don't mind using it (not just a  ~ "I don't care about ambiance, etc of the bathroom doesn't matter, I need to pee and I need to pee now situation, I just need a bathroom!"  situation).

8  ~  "8"'s are lovely bathrooms.  Everything require for the ratings above are present and it has a number of positive things for me to say!  Like it smells good when I walk in, there is a choice between paper towels and a blow drying my hands or it could be, there is nice music being piped in.

9   ~  "9"'s and"10's" are going to be few and far between.  A "9" is going to have all the components of a public bathroom be extremely clean and nicely decorated.  I am really going to have to reach on a "9" to come up with ways to improve this bathroom!

10 ~ Oh my goodness.... everything positive I have mentioned already is in a bathroom with a rating of a "10".  To get the "10", I am going to have to walk out of the bathroom and want it in my own home!  "10"s" will be the bomb!

Since this is my blog, I reserve the right to give ".5's",   "+'s"  & " -'s" and change my mind now and then!   There you have it, my rating system!

So let the rating begin.   Next public bathroom I'm in, I will rate and give you the 411 the next day!

Happy summer, stay safe , have fun and check back in now and again....

This is a self portrait!   In my day, when I was a photography student, they called them "self portraits" so I'm sticking with it!   See you soon.      J
